How many cores per slide are acceptable?
The system can scan 1000 cores for each slide.
What is the minimum and maximum core size allowable?
The GenoMx™ VISION can scan cores with any core size, typical core sizes, and (eg. 0.5mm to 2.5mm). Please consult with a BioGenex representative to see if the system can work for slides of any other size.
Q: What is the general workflow of the software?
A: The GenoMx™ VISION is geared towards TMA slide scanning. The general flow starts selecting the correct protocol and areNext, mapping is performed to tell the system how many partitions exist, and of each partition, how many rows and columns are in each. The scanning process comes next.
Upon completion, the user can create a core list of the cores. The system revisits and takes a picture of each core during the core list procedure. The user can also perform automated analysis on each labeled partition. A report can also be generated, based on quantitation results. Finally, the report can be generated via File Maker® Database.
How long does it take to scan one TMA slide?
This depends on the number of cores, the objective used, the number of partitions, and the core size. Using a 10x objective, a slide with 200 of 0.6mm cores can be scanned within 10 minutes.
How long does it take to scan 50 TMA slides?
This depends on the number of cores, the objective used, the number of partitions, and the core size. Using a 10x objective, it can take up to 8 hours to scan 50 slides with 200 of 0.6mm cores.
How much space does each scan take?
Typically the space used is a bout 1.5GB for 200 core of 0.mm TMA slide at 10X scan.
Does the GenoMx™ VISION have reporting capabilities?
Yes. The File Maker ® Database generates the reports via the GenoMx™ VISION software.
Can we print reports out?
Yes. The reports can be printed and/or saved as pdf files.
Can I see a sample of a report?
Yes. A sample report can be sent to you via email, fax or mail.
What type of data is displayed on the report?
The report shows core map, an image of each core and the corresponding protocol, intensity and population readings. It also displays slide information.
What is PC/Monitor Specifications?
Apple Dual 64 Power PC with a 80GB application hard drive and a 200GB hard drive, a 750MB Zip or a DVD-R/CD-R super drive (up to 9GB/Disk) with Integrated 10/100/1000 T Base Ethernet Connection.
