i500™ Integrated Labeling System
What is the i500™?
The i500™ Labeling System tracks and links patient information, accession number, protocol and laboratory name through all the BioGenex systems.
The i500™ uses a flexible, user-friendly software to rapidly design and print labels. The labels are transferred to slides. The slides can be loaded on to the i6000™ Automated Staining System for staining, and finally, to the iVISION™ for image analysis. The i500™ reduces time and effort, enabling the user to print only one label for the entire process.

What are the dimensions and size of the i500™ System?
The dimensions of the main printer unit are approximately 8" W x 8"H x 9"D with the lid down. The system weighs about 7 lbs.

What is the print speed?
The print speed is up to 6 inches per second (150 mm/sec).

What is the label size?
Labels are 0.875" x 1" in size with perforation along the width at 0.1875" from the top.

What barcode font does it print with?
Code 128.

What is the printer resolution?
The printer resolution is 203 dpi (8 dots/mm).

How many labels are there in one roll?
The maximum number of labels per roll is 1800.

Are the labels temperature and heat-resistant?
Yes. The labels are high quality, heat and chemical resistant.

How many lines of text can the i500™ print?
Prints up to 6 lines of text and 3 barcodes. Ability to turn bar codes "ON" or "OFF". It has an
auto-date function.

Does the printer come with a computer?
The system consists of a printer unit, a label roll, an ink ribbon, a power supply, and an
IEEE-1284 printer 25M/36Cen cable.

What Operating System does the software run on?
