Buffers and Diluents

BioGenex offers Buffers and Diluents for most applications in Immunohistochemistry and In Situ Hybridization. General Buffers, such as PBS and Tris, can be used for washing/rinsing of slides, while Substrate Buffers are intended for use with particular chromogen/substrate systems.

For the dilution of concentrated reagents, BioGenex offers a variety of diluents. Common Antibody Diluent can be used with concentrated primary antibodies, while the Enhanced Common Antibody Diluent can be used for enhancing the activity of certain antibodies. The Estrogen and Progesterone Receptor Antibody Diluents are recommended for ER and PR antibody clones, respectively. Link Diluent is to be used with Concentrated links (secondary antibodies), and alkaline phosphatase labels. The sodium azide preservative present in Common Antibody Diluent, however, will inhibit the enzymatic activity of horseradish peroxidase, and therefore this diluent should not be used with peroxidase labels. For use with peroxidase labels, BioGenex offers the Streptavidin Peroxidase Diluent, which contains thimerosal preservative.

Unless specified otherwise, all products listed in this section are General Purpose Reagents, suitable for Diagnostic Histopathology, Laboratory and Research Use.
