ISH DETECTION SYSTEMS
In Situ Hybridization (ISH) is a sensitive method for localizing specific gene (mRNA and DNA) sequences within a cell or a tissue with high resolution (a single cell in thousands of millions). With ISH, it is possible to semi-quantitate a specific mRNA sequence and simultaneously determine its cellular location.

ISH can determine the temporal and spatial patterns of gene expression in cells, tissues, organs, and even whole animals.

Nucleic acid targets are detected in two stages: the hybridization of a hapten-labeled probe to a specific nucleic acid sequence within the cell, and the subsequent detection of the bound hybridized probe.

BioGenex offers two types of ISH detection systems: the Super SensitiveTM Link-Label ISH Detection System and the Super SensitiveTM Polymer-HRP Detection System for use with BioGenex specialized probes.
