BioGenex Launches New Antibodies for Cancer Diagnostics

BioGenex, a pioneer in automated staining solution provider for cancer diagnostics announces the launch of five new primary antibodies for cancer immunohistochemistry (IHC).

With our Super Sensitive Detection System, our IHC solution offers the widest portfolio with over 400 primary antibodies, reagents, consumables, and ancillaries.

Included in the launch are

CD8 (C8/468)

CD8 is expressed by thymocytes and subpopulation of mature T cells and NK cells. CD8 is a cell surface receptor expressed as either as a heterodimer (CD8 alpha/beta) or a homodimer (CD8 alpha/alpha). It is a useful marker for distinguishing helper/inducer T-lymphocytes, and most peripheral T-cell lymphomas are CD4+/CD8-. Find out more about CD8

ERα (ESR1/1935)

Estrogen Receptor alpha (ERa) monoclonal is specific to ER alpha chain and shows minimal cross-reactivity with other members of estrogen receptor family of proteins. ER is an important regulator of growth and differentiation in the mammary gland. Presence of ER in breast tumors indicates an increased likelihood of response to anti-estrogen therapy. It strongly stains nuclei of epithelial cells in breast carcinomas. Find out more about ERα

CD61/Integrin b3 (ITGB3/2145)

CD61, also known as integrin b3, is a type I integral transmembrane protein. Integrin family of proteins is known to participate in cell adhesion as well as cell surface mediated signaling. Cytokeratin 16 (KRT16/2043)

The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. Cytokeratin 16 co-express with cytokeratin 14 in a number of epithelial tissues, including esophagus, tongue, and hair follicles. BioGenex is offering these new antibodies in different formats: - ready-to-use (RTU) vials for manual staining and bar-coded vials for the i6000® and Xmatrx® family of automated staining systems. They are also available in concentrated format along with the antibody diluent (#HK156) and are also compatible with third-party detection systems.
